The tablet doesn't use dock - it gets its updates directly from the internet when it's connected to WiFi. You can go to any of the home or app pages, tap and hold on a blank spot, then pick Configure, then Check for Updates to manually force it to check. There hasn't been a meaningful update (other than a DST fix) in ages, though, so don't be surprised if it doesn't find anything.

Over the Hotspot... Hopefully the new maps on the TND's will be made available soon.

    Thanks,

Have you tried doing a diagnostic and repair through the Dock on your PC ????

RoadHog, I am otr and don't have a have a pc with me, dang iPad. I will certainly give that a #### as soon as I get home. I haven't used the dock since I bought it in January.

Hoping someone else had experienced similar and could leave me with some hope. Man, I didn't realize how much I depended on that sucker

It's always a good idea to hook up to the Dock at least once a month for updates and do a diag-repair and backup. With lots of use I have found that the files do get corrupted which will cause lots of problems. When OTR you can always find an Internet Cafe and hook up your unit and check it out, just make sure u have the proper USB cable on hand which u can buy in any computer or electronics store and some truck stops also have them. Or at a truck stop get on the CB and ask if anyone has a TND Dock on their laptop and u can use it to check your unit.

Hey Mark, my best friend has one of the original 8" Tablets and the windshield mount has cracked. Is the mount covered under warranty or do they have to buy a new mount?
