Every time TQL calls, or I call them about a load, they always ask what I need to cover the load. They didn't use to do this, is it just me?

Well as a good trucking company I think all of us trucking companies should unite against TQL and book every load on there system and just never pick them up. This would in return hopefully make them look so bad to their customers they could leave and find better brokers to do business with. If any other companies would like to get on a set date to teach this lying stealing company a lesson lets pull together and work on weeding out these bad brokers. This one agent called us to pick up a load out of AZ and offered pretty good money coming back to Houston TX. We usually dead head as a company we won't haul cheap freight I would rather save the wear and tear on my trucks and send them home empty. We charge round trip to our customers so it doesn't hurt us that much. Well truck arrived to load and they told him he has to load at another facility 45 miles in the wrong direction. Well TQL said they would give us $50 for the milage and I told him nope we will just head back empty this is costing us 90 miles and I refuse. So a manager called me from TQL and told me he would give us $200 now and I agreed so he sent another rate confirmation over and we went to load the scrap engines. Well these were in really bad shape once our driver arrived to load They tried stacking so much on his trailer he would be oversized when finally he said take it all of I am not hauling this load. Not to mention it had fuel and hydraulic lines laying and falling off the engines. So long story short these were supposed to be shrink wrapped for safety on the road and they had Wal-Mart tarps they considered as shrink wrapping. The owner talked with TQL and agreed to pay for our tarps if we used them and they got ripped up in transit. Driver tarps the load takes pictures of our tarps ripped up,Sends them to TQL and to customer for reimbursement and also trailer damage on some big holes punched in the floor of our trailer. Well TQL billed it all to the customer and didn't send any of the money to us like it was supposed to happen. Nor did they pay the 6 hours detention that was promised and my driver was 45 min late for the delivery appointment so they also took $200 for late delivery. These scam artists need to be taught a lesson as I am looking into filing a lawsuit since there customer admitted to paying for all this and never got passed to the right person. If anyone would like to join this let me know as I have almost 30 carriers now getting ready to start booking tons of loads across the country with TQL and give them the same courtesy as they give trucking companies.

I have a better and easier idea. Just don't do business with them, I won't.

The problem with wasting my time to book a load and never pick it up is #1wastes my time. #2 tql's customer knows there is only about a 25% chance the load will get done correctly but they do not care. It's the carriers problem.

Last week I booked my 1st load with TQL, what a nightmare 11.5hrs detention at the shipper. It's been almost a week and I'm yet to receive an updated rate confirmation from them for invoicing!

Im sorry to hear this...But its what they already know...They also know you as a rookie, You are easily manipulated by their actions.

Most detention is billed separately from your freight charges, Some customers pay demurrage at different times of their pay cycles..... But,You took a load with TQL, Whom are like pulling teeth to get detention.

All I can give you advice wise is keep badgering them,Be a pest...Until they send a revised rate-con......They think they will get away with it cause your new.

AND IF I FIND OUT YOU DIDN'T BADGER THEM,,,, I'M GOING TO BE PISSED AT YOU!!!!

We don't need anymore Yellow-bellies in our industry.

Every time they call or I call them, they always ask what I need to do the load, I always give them a rate double of the particular market, the only way I wanna do business with them is if I am getting stupid money.

There's enough small, and even a few larger brokerages that treat you fairly, no need to take #### from anyone, especially TQL.

And whom might those "fair" brokerages be?

I aint seen any yet....The only brokers I like are the ones that Lose their customers to us, Due to gouging the spot market.

I'm not gonna name names, but there are some smaller brokerages that I work with on occasion to get back to my main customer, that do pay well. If TQL or any of the other low life's out there had these contracts you would get less than half of what these guys pay.
