Does anybody have pictures of their own long hood trucks? I'm a big fan of them and I would love to see some of those nice looking trucks out there

Looks like a pretty sweet truck back in the day. Bet it still turns some heads going down the highways

When Interstates grow quite and the chickens roost. They crawl from shadows like flesh eating Zombie. Lighting up the roadways like the Vegas strip. 700hp Cats shake the ground. Ah the good ol days. :)

I spent the last three years in a company Volvo before I bought my W9. Even though I cut my teeth on long hood trucks 20 years ago, I got used to that sharp turning radius. But, it all comes back to ya in time. We haul a lot of frac sand, and have to back into some extremely tight places, many times in the dark or with less than ideal lighting (aka: light tower shining directly in your face and/or mirrors), but I still put her where she needs to go. I just work a little harder at it than I did in the Volvo.

The days of a shiney black big hood pete, all chromed out with chicken lights down the side, and a beaver light on the drivers mirror, and a driver saying get out of the way I gotta go. Most of the time it was a chicken hauler with a rack or a reefer low riding in the seat feeling like they owned the world.

Little ole me in a freight shaker, single sleeper 3 axle cab over, trying to get a break in on the jabber jaw to get them to move out of the way.

Seems like it always turned into a triple digit race.

then the tour bus passed us both.

    I miss rock and roll.

OLDSKOOLERnWV, okiedokie and lester Thank this.
