Depends. Where in NE Ohio are you?

Do you want to do line haul or city?

    Doubles/triples?

    Do you mind nights?

    Do you mind working docks?

My list in no particular order
    Odfl
    Abf
    R&l
    Estes

    Akron/Canton/Cleveland/ Kent, Ohio greater area.
I want the gravy, day shift P&D, no weekends.
I like staying busy, and working O.T.
Maybe 50-60 "+ hrs per week.
    Their all good companies.
But i want the big 1.5 over 40 $'s plus benefits etc.
Looks like ABF, USF Holland, YRC, UPS, or Dayton Freight pay that style.
Duie Pyle in Streetsboro pays O.T. after 45.
Old Dominion in Canton pays O.T. after 60, but pays more, about $3 more per hour, so you break even around 50 hrs.
Just wanted other guys or gals opinions, before I make a move.

Dayton Freight has terminals in Cleveland, Akron, and Mentor.
Pyle partners with Dayton, and the two overlap in Cleveland. Dayton is OT after 40, but 60 hrs. per week is very unlikely (at least not on a regular basis).

    Hi guys.
I realize I'm way late, just finding this cool forum.
I got 15 yrs & perfect MVR, background etc.
Most of it local LTL P&D here in this area, which I want to stay in.
    Did Plenty of Line-haul too.
I've got it nailed down pretty good.
But, I'm just trying to cover all the bases here, in case I missed something.
I want to get into the best.
I'm qualified for all of them.
    Thanks.

Yep that's your list then yrc be lower on my list due to pay cut they took. That would be my order. I left ltl but live in the area and keep my ears open.

Holland drivers give back 15%, too. Not just YRC (they are YRC "Regional"). I'd put Dayton higher than either of them, but I'm kinda biased...

Pitt-Ohio is also a good company, but you don't get OT until your 3 year anniversary.

Mike2633, iStout and crb Thank this.
