As of right now my only other relative's house in Fort Mac is still standing. Fire's very close though.

Sounds like the outbuildings around the airport took a hit. CBC reported the Nova Hotel, airport firehall, ATCO gas building and a maintenance shop have burnt. No change to downtown as of yet.

Don't believe everything the cbc is reporting, tbey are known for not fact checking, according to a few reliable sources the nova is still largely intact, sustained minor damage.

Well I hope CBC is wrong.

I'm off to BC. Gonna go play golf, drink beer and play around with the Kenworth for a few days.

Was just about to post that. Kind of sounds like the fire is heading southeast in general at this time. Really hope it doesn't take out Anzac as well. Heard on the radio that this is now considered to be the most expensive insurable event in Canadian history.
