Yes that is correct. I started with Knight.
But as you pointed out, they are a good starter company, nothing more.Milkman719 Thanks this. -
They hire out of california now.
-
For a rookie that's pretty goodMilkman719 Thanks this.

Little old but I was happy there but left after getting my own truck. My first year there I made just over 65k gross. I'm not sure that qualifies as starter company kind of pay. The trucks are plain and have no amenities. They did start putting fridges in the new ones though but no APUs. Transitioning to allay to fleet. I have a long thread on here about my experience with them.

$65k is very good. Were you on the dry side or reefer? Does Knight have cameras in their trucks?
-
Reefer side and no cameras. had they not closed down my terminal in Arkansas I'd probably still be there.
-
Cams are going in, tho they will be only facing outward. I think they plan on having them all done by the fall.Misesian Thanks this.
-
To drive in their reefer division you need to be based out of one of their refrigerated terminals, correct? Or can you do it out of any Knight terminal?
-
Possibly. The only terminals I remember being dry only were Charlotte, Tulare, and Fontana. Most Terminals have both divisions. Depends where you live. Your success at Knight, in my opinion, depends on your terminal. When mine was closed and I got transferred to Memphis it wasn't the same.
Fajo and Florida Playboy Thank this.
