Even the bad ones are a good fit for some people.
Haven't read any complaints about Jim Palmer Trucking.

Try not to overthink it. Remember, your first job is basically just to get started, then move on to something better.

Amazon is building a DC in Reno. There will be work. Look to see who's pulling their trailers.

Didn't read that part. Didn't mean to avoid them.

    Avoid OTR companies...lol
    how bout that...

go LTL, like UPS or OD or ABF or something..Even Saia or Estes YRC
Make better money, sleep at home

go fuel, or mining, pull backhoes and loaders around for local construction..make better money, have normal life...

Ive read every thread here, dang near..and 99% of company OTR'ers are all driving endlessly hating life always making under a thousand a week...Almost never on this site have I seen OTR company guy bringin home more than 1k a week..most of them like 750 at best
That aint enough to survive man

    Set your bar higher, quicker..

    You knocked swift, understandably so...BUT

I have a friend in Tucson, runs a dedicated flatbed daily route in a daycab and is very happy

Your trucking experience can be good or bad, at any one particular terminal

    Hey bud,
Just read your post and wanted to tell you I make more than 1k a week,easily...I average about 1150 and home by Friday night,no later than Saturday afternoon back out on Monday

I do agree working for an ltl company can be a better fit for most but in my case I prefer otr.

However,if I could get a line haul gig with OD I would jump on that in a second cause there is a terminal where I live
