Any company that wanted me to ride a bus I told them to stuff it or I would rent a car and they could pay me the price of the bus ticket!
It was going to be 28 hours to go From Charlotte to Indiana one time! Screw that!!
Good luck Charlie! I could not do the bus ride...
Greyhound... advice please :)

The messed up part was that we got to Alabama and the driver that was supposed to switch with our driver didn't show up to work so we didn't have a driver...had to stay in the bus for like 12 hrs and all they gave us was a meal voucherx1Heavy, TROOPER to TRUCKER and EZ Money Thank this.

They'll reimburse mileage up to the price of a bus ticket, but it's not practical for me to take my car & leave it in another state (that I may or may not be returning to) for 6 weeks.

I knew I was coming home to meet up with my trainer so no big deal. I would have driven even if it wasn't reimbursed at all.

geez I just now noticed you are out of Charlotte. Or if I did know I forgot..lol

Yeah a Chinese immigrant in Canada did that. They deemed him rehabilitated and returned him to society.ExOTR and Giuseppe Ventolucci Thank this.

You must make sure your sleeping bag either fits under your seat or inside the comparment above the walkway. It cannot be in the way.Roll your sleeping bag tightly with a couple bungy cords. How many transfers did greyhound give you or are you waiting till you leave to pick up your bus ticket? How long of a bus ride is it?you'll likely have to share your seat.be ready for a long boring uncomfortable ride.unless you do sit next to someone who's great company then the ride will fly by.

I just read your bus ride is 7 hrs which could take 14 hrs depending how long of a lay over you have between transfers. You'll probably only have one transfer..

Last week i rented a brand new 7 passenger mini van from enterprise got about 30 mpg. Cost was $54.00 with tax and unlimited miles. The one i went to will even give you a free ride in town after turning in car.

Occasionally rented a large engine equipped car out of enterprise now and then. Superchargers are best for the mountains. There is a certain degree of freedom in a Road Trip!!!
