Facom,french made.
Toughest there is.
My 24mm wrench,i once put a 6 foot steel tube extension on it,pulled on it with my 180lbs.
Bolt came loose,no damage to wrench,no deforming.
BUT expensive as hell.

Also, pawn shops are your best friend while tool hunting. You can pu high end hand tools for about 25% of msrp, just keep in mind what brands have a lifetime warranty.

I tried a couple of NAPA tools, not too bad. Lasted thru the first project, anyway.
I have a couple of Kobalt tools, Craftsman tools, and various other makers, but haven't found a real substitute for the old Craftsman. (pre-KMart?) I have some end wrenches and sockets from my 15th year, 57 years of excellent performance. I don't have another 57 left, but it would be hard to find tools to last for the time I do have left, not today. -
Because it's an internet forum and being contrary is often the status quo...
Not everything Blue Point is USA made. In my toolbox, I have a Blue Point razor shear which has the following stamped on it-- "Made In China"
And yep, Skate-Board nailed it with his "Chinese steel" comment. With how globally intertwined we are these days, an items Country of Origin is isn't automatically indicative of quality.
"Buying American" doesn't have the same meaning as it did in years past.misterG Thanks this. -
