I believe Channellock tools are still made in Meadville, Pennsylvania.

A lot of the blue point line is made overseas. But the snap on brand is still made here. And not that much more than craftsman. Also I'm fairly certain mac was bought by Stanley. Or maybe I'm thinking of matco.

My local snap on guy has been steering me to the snapon industrial tools. Exact same tool minus the chrome plating. So you get the quality just loose the shiny.

Personally i don't see much of a difference in any of them. I've got snapon, mac, matco, s&k and craftsman. They all break. Last time i was pulling the head on my detroit, i broke all of my mac, matco, and snapon 1/2 inch drive 5/8ths 12 point sockets. Ran up to advance and got a gear wrench socket. It didn't break. The 6 dollar gear wrench held up where the 30 dollar top end ones failed. Go figure.

Most Blue-Point is China and sadly more and more Snap-on stuff too. One good thing about Snap-on is that they do tell you where it's made on their website. Just find what you want online and click "Specifications" it will tell you the country of origin there.

If they've been used with an impact gun in the past and they are not 'impact specific' that is pretty common.
