I guess. I live in Fresno, and saw it on the local news, but have yet to find any further info on Abc30's website.
Google is useless at the moment as well. -
Wow I got stuck in that mess last summer .

At least nature was involved here, instead of the clowns coming out from the ports and driving like kamikazes.
Two years ago, on the LAST slope just before the bottom (nothing but that last straight as you know), before coming up to Bakerfield, some driver burned his brakes. Lost control, careened off two other trucks, causing a chain reaction with just those 3 vehicles, tearing up each other, the guard rail, and of course the road for nearly a quarter of a mile.
Shut down the NB lanes for over 10 hours.
Daylight revealed what a fun ride that must have been. No fatalities btw.Last edited: May 6, 2016

Back before Jake brakes were in every truck, a few people met their end on that straight away. Only a fool pulled over when the brakes caught fire. You hoped the wind put the fire out.
Back in like 81-82, it was not uncommon to see tanker drivers and freight haulers parked on the side of the road, beating the crap out of each other.vanishing point and rabbiporkchop Thank this. -
