Well guys here's my experience with CRST . I was involved in a roll over due to brake failure as stated on the ticket . No other vehicle was involved , no injuries other than my broken ribs . Two days later I received a call telling me I was no longer eligible to drive for them , even though I had not been to court on the ticket. There was a DOT inspector that confirmed brake failure on the roll over site . I had to make my own arrangements to get home , they left me dead in the water . Would I drive for or advise anyone else to drive for this POS CO , not no but H#LL NO !!
Crst sucks

Well, I mean, have you ever seen a NICE CRST truck? I'm not talkin a chromed out pete or anything. I'm talkin a well equipped company truck. Only thing I've EVER seen is a crappy babycrap gold truck with all steel wheels, never an apu and always FILTHY! If that's the way they order and keep their trucks what makes you think they'll treat the drivers any better?
-
Good Luck I would fight it if I were you See what they put on your DAC
-
did you do a proper pre tip or post trip inspection?
Was the brake faliure something that you could of caught on a pre or post trip inspection?
I am not trying to attack you but some drivers out there never do a inspection even though you have to mark that you did on your log sheets.
If it was something that you could of caught or something you were doing wrong while driving down grades then it was your fault.
Also if it was something you should of caught or was doing wrong while driving then good luck on trying to get another job driving a semi.
Trucking companies can request a copy of the accident report and if the see that is was due to driver error you may never get another job. -
actually yes I did do a PTI and discovered nothing wrong . A break diaphragm was the reason for extreme loss of air , wrong slack adjusters of front causing little to no front breaking , yet drums were clean . Nothing I could see from doing an inspection with the truck parked and not running . All was confirmed by VA DOT at the accident site . The ticket reads , " falure to maintain control of vehicle-break falure ". And I have another driving job now and just waiting for ribs to heal a little while longer before I go back to work .

Seems like crst created a huge liabilty issue If I was you I would go after them if you have not already done it.
If what you and the Va dot are saying about the wrong slack adjusters and it was partial contributing factor of that wreck they had no reason to fire you. -
CRST is a total SNAFU, and they always blame the driver, which, come to think of it, is how many companies operate.
If I thought I could make it stick, I would go after them for something, you did get hurt, after all. -
I got some cracked ribs 'n a couple bumps on tha head . WTF I've been hurt worse in the old days drinkin 'n fightin , 'n I won ! I am taking care of the ticket then my lawyer , tha wonderful ambulance chassen SOB he is , wants to go after CRST. All I can say is GO FOR IT . Of course with a law firm by the name of "SIC'EM , SIC'EM AND F--K'EM", how could I not let them go after CRST.

after reading this as well as spending the last 5 hours reading posts i dont think ill be calling back the CRST recruiter

Dude, all I gotta say about their trucks is look at the "Cletus and Gomer show" they call a Maintenance Team. If you're not careful, one of them will dribble tobacco spit on you.....the company, its CEO's, Dispatchers, Trainers, Safety People and especially Maintenance are all a big pile of steaming you know what.
