Beer unloads quick? not in my experience...
-
It depends on the place. Superior Bev in Columbus, Ohio never takes less than an hour and a half, but this one place in Syracuse has you rolling out in thirty minutes. It's usually faster than paper loads, unless they are doing the giant rolls.
-
Maybe they unload faster in the south? Unless you are at Birmingham Bud. Most places I am unloaded in less than an hour
-
In 16 years I only had to help unload 1 trailer, and that was only because it was 2 days before X-Mas and no lumpers around. Some warehouse guy helped me.
It was light boxes of paper towels. We just put 'em on a pallet and the forklift guy pulled the pallet out.
Millis usually lets you hire lumpers when needed, which is not often.
I considered Millis to be a No Touch company, even though Millis is careful not to claim that. -
Every once in a while a man has got to admit that was wrong. In this instance I'm gonna be forced to say it was me. I just had a event that pretty much sealed the deal for me as far as the camera fiasco. I'm 100% convinced that the cameras are being watched at least some of the time and not only when there is a "critical event". Not sure if it's live or not but I had a minor incident that in no way could have set the camera off and they knew about it.
What really bothers me is that this is not what you're told in school or in training so you're being flat lied to. I don't care if they need to watch but at least tell me so. YMMV.WisconsinF150 and Solo_Seat Thank this. -
What kind of incident?
-
I'd rather not say on a public forum. Would be kinda easy for somebody to figure out who I am and I don't want stuff I say on here affecting my livelyhood.
-
Better to figure it out later than never.
Spread the word so the few remaining drivers who drink Millis kool aid and still haven't figured it out, will.
I know it's common for people to want to defend their company when it's criticized, but they shouldn't lie in defense of their company.Solo_Seat Thanks this. -
A couple weeks ago at about 0500 one morning I received a phantom message that said to the effect- "Still on watch list Truck #____." It listed my truck number and I did not know who it was from. I replied asking what the sender was talking about. About 30 minutes later I got a return reply telling me the message was 'not meant for me and delete the message"
It really bothered me because I didn't know who it was from or what the hell they were talking about. I have been wondering since then what was being "watched". My logs, my camera, what. After reading your post I now believe it may have been the camera but still do not really know.
I've finished my training thru Millis in early October and have been on my own since early December. I have no incidents, haven't been late for anything other than things outside my control such as being given the load too late to deliver on time, equipment or winter weather issues and have received only 1 drive cam activation message. That message came after a couple cars cut me off as I was climbing a hill, I did not let off so as to keep my momentum and followed too closely for several seconds until those cars pulled away. I have not had or been told about any logging issues, nothing. My dispatcher has never complained about anything I do or said I need to do anything different. Not sure why I am "being watched" or exactly what is being watched.WisconsinF150 and 59EX Thank this.
