    That might be for their non-union truckload stuff. They run white sleepers that say something like "Operated by UPS Freight" on the side. That is NOT their LTL linehaul mileage pay.

    Yeah I've seen those white Freightliner Sleepers pulling doubles on I-71 know exactly what your talking about.

    This is UPS Freight Truckload division which i know nothing about. i don't even know if we are the same company exactly? But the .39cpm is probably right.

    Not much to report. Will post latest stubs when i get around to it.

    Switching to linehaul for a while. .47cpm (my rate) we switch to hourly for all drop and hooks/fueling/dockwork.

    i believe top mileage rate is currently .6980 per mile.

    Also, i now stop at all RR crossing irregardless if i have hazmat or not.

    Sorry haven't posted in a while.
    Welp, switched to linehaul because one of the runs opened up. Usually we bid every 6 months, but a special situation arose.

    i think i could get use to this gig REAL fast. As you can see my pay jumped up 10%, so now i'm on track to make 60K. Which isn't bad because i'm not even at the 2yr pay mark.

    i'm at .47cpm, but right now the top rate is .69. As soon as we get to any terminal we go on the clock---for drop and hook, fueling, paperwork, dockwork---EVERYTHING.

    i thought the dockwork was going to be difficult, but it's actually pretty easy and laid back; The strippers bring the freight to the bay in front of your trailer that you are bringing home and you just load all the pallets in with a forklift. Sometimes it's like a jigsaw puzzle. But this is literally a no sweat gig.

    The only problem is the late night hours and may be something that will make me switch back to daytime P+D. Maybe i will get "use to" it. i have done linehaul with other companies and apparently somehow did get use to it.

    TIP: I DID LEARN THAT MOUNTAIN DEW HAS MUCH MORE CAFFEINE THAN COKE OR PEPSI.
    HOWEVER, IF YOU GET REALLY SLEEPY THEN I'M TELLING YOU TO FIND THE NEAREST SAFE PLACE AND PULL OVER AND TAKE A NAP. IT'S JUST NOT WORTH THE RISK NO MATTER HOW SWEET THE JOB IS.


    Another tip is just before you pull over to take a nap, drink about a can of coke, or mountain dew and then go to sleep. It will take about a half hour for the sugar and caffeine to take effect. You should only sleep for about 20-30 mins and you will wake up refreshed (theoretically). This way your boss/co-workers won't be pissed off at you for being late.

    It'll only get better. my net last week was a couple bucks shy of 1,400. where do they have you going?

    Ummm........i don't want to say exactly, for privacy reasons but i usually go from my terminal to a terminal on route, usually dropping an empty and picking up a loaded trailer headed to my final turn around point, which is a mini-hub which is full of "brotherly love" (hint, hint). i do about 340 miles a night. Leaving from my terminal to the on-route terminal is so close we're on hourly, then i switch to mileage after i leave that terminal.
