I have a NEW 4700 WesternStar that has a shake between 70 and 80 KM. I have replaced the tires and Rims and it has not cured the problem. Is this a Common thing with these trucks? (Detroit Rearends)?
Please let me know if anyone else has had this issue or any ideas on how this can be fixed.

No, it does not appear to shake in the steering wheel.

The driveshaft has been checked, along with a "Shaker Test" which concluded the shake was not bad enough for the machine to find it. But when you drive the truck you can definately tell theres a shake.

The cab is air ride, so you feel it throughtout, very minor in the steering wheel. Some in the hood, but mostly in the floor(Feet).

How is the alignment? Reason I ask is my dad had a truck that the drive axles were misaligned and it caused a vibration due to the the driveline angles being off left to right. Never really noticed odd tire wear because it spent about 50% of the time off highway.

Check motor mount and or trans. mounts. Just had a new trans put in my truck, mechanic said mounts were toast-I also had a bad vibration under full throttle.

    JJMUFO Thanks this.
