Ok so for you rail guys. Im basically done "training" my new company said my trainer said i got it etc. Well the real trainers were all full. So i went out with a guy. He showed me a lot!!!! Ok thing is triaxle i know how to open/close it. You just pull the handle. I literally walked around the split axle 9 times. Theres no handle to pul . How the f do you move it ?
Oh side question. If im missing a handle for lAnding gear do i go to mechanic bobtail or do i go to driver assistance. Thanks. This rail thing sucks but im trying.

When you see a handle laying in mud hole while in drop yard keep it in your side/box till you need it>

for a split axle (10 ft 2 in spread) you dont move it. they are fixed to the frame
unless its a slideable spread then the rearmost axle moves forward to make it a tandemLast edited: May 11, 2016

If you don't have a handle, driver over to roadability and ask, they will give you one with a bolt and go bolt it on...;

How are we defining a spread axle? All the spread axle chassis I've ever encountered are basically a tri-axle with the center axle missing, and they stretch just like a tri-axle, and they are only designed to carry one 20' container.
As for no handle, first make sure it's only missing the handle and that some idjit didn't back into the crank assembly and break it off, requiring replacement of the landing gear. If it's only missing a handle, go to roadability and ask for one. Depending on the ramp and mood, they will either give you one, or have it flipped for you.4noReason Thanks this. -

A split axle non-slider would be a 40' only, unless you're shuttling cans with it.
