You have Valley Transportation out of Ashland, Oh, but you have to live in their hiring area. They take you out of school and are home weekends.

I'm a trainer for Roadmaster in PA. TMC is one of the company's that take our new drivers. Very nice trucks, fully loaded with all the comforts. Driver owned company. Profit sharing and good benefits

Still have some friends that drive for McElroy, and they're happy with it. I wasn't a fan, but that's another story LOL
-
Why is that? Btw I read somewhere home time can really be minimal, like 34hr rest and then back out

The trucking industry has a different view of weekends off than I do ! Haha ! Honestly, it was more personal preference for me leaving. Their training program is really good, their road trainers, and MOST the instructors are great guys....A few need their ego checked though. Just had an uneasy feeling the whole time I was in the training facility. Seems like around some there you really have to watch what you say and what you do....

And I wanna make it clear, I am in no way running down this company. i did learn a lot while I was there, just wasn't for me....
chrism1367 Thanks this. -
They advertise .30 mile starting out. Seems a little low...

McElroy ? They started us at $.46 mi
