Bad day for this Cat

Weren't Petes known to have cabling issues around the bellhousing / L frame area that caused "thermal events"?

 

Petes with C15s have those issues, or so I was told after mine erupted. ...

 

3406E uses fuel to cool the computer. I have been told that if there is a blockage in the return line, the computer plate will get hot enough to either cause failure of the hose and spray fuel out, or directly ignite the fuel. A shop I worked at had a burned down Volvo out back with it's 3406E sitting in the shop.

 

Here's one who's not quite as bad off, but still having a headache. It's hard to figure what he was thinking. Trying to u turn on a official use turn around. Just a couple miles ahead was an easy get off get on.

 

That's the only way a guy can make a buck right now, is to collect the insurance and run the other direction.
