Tickets in PA are common in the $10K - $20K range and sometimes much higher.
Can't remember the name of the town now, but to get to the receiver you go down a 2 lane road which comes to a "T" where the sign says "Trucks No Right Turn" so you turn left onto another narrow 2 lane road and in front of you about 2 football field lengths is the receiver. There's also a sign that says "No Trucks Beyond This Point." There's also a cop sitting there that gives you a $2K ticket for being on a restricted road. The receiver doesn't care because they know another company will deliver the next load anyway. That's the only route to the receiver. Just a money grab for the county.

I would have fought that ticket. Around here, if you are delivering to an address, that's off the truck route, or the only way there is to go off the truck route, then you're OK. The company has to be able to do business, and if they need trucks to deliver, then the jurisdiction is impeding their business.

    Chinatown Thanks this.

I don't think he was on that route to deliver, I think he said it was a mistake. Even if he was, PA has a posted and bonded system and does not make exclusions always for businesses on a road, they leave it up to the trucking company to "bond" the road. Not all our weight restricted roads are like that but many are, especially after the gas boon a few years ago. We suck for weight violations, the slightest volation can cost thousands.

Had a cop tell me in this county anybody without a picture ID is going to jail intell we know who you are. Then I saw my wallet on the floor where it feel of the dog house.
I thought I had left my wallet at home when asked for it at a road check. Cop told me that in this county anyone driving without a picture ID is going to jail intell we know who you are. I saw my wallet on the floor where it fell off the dog house when I was getting out. Your deal could be worse.

I've only run across 3 women that found flaw in my character, and all three of them were my Mother in law at the time, so your right no one is perfect.
