Can somebody please explain to me why with all the different sensors and monitoring equipment Green Bay uses to babysit us, that we still get Intertrip Idle alarms when we are creeping in traffic? Hell, they probably have a G-force sensor in the seat to tell how bad our last fart was but they can't disable the alarm and notifications when the truck is in gear?

 

Just a guess, Church and Dwight? Interesting place.

 

Just hit the override button.

 

Because the alert setup is part of an off the shelf program from Qualcomm. We have some "options" we can select but not much. In order to have overspeed indicated we have to have the idle alert, or pay an exorbitant amount of money to reconfigure the whole thing.

Add to it the fact some accounts still use idle percentage.

To the point of "I'm in gear with breaks released why are you recording idle?" - think.of guys like DFO and 91B. They would have things rigged up to avoid the sensor faster than cr England blows thru drivers.
