You know what I would like to add something to this thread.

I want all the people out there who think hey I don't have any OTR experience or man I will need a refresher course to apply to Pepsi, think again. Here is my situation.

I received my CDL in 2010. I went to orientation for TMC a week later and was sent home day 2 because of a misprint on my VA disability paperwork. Well I have not been in a truck since 2010. If you can drive than you can drive. Have confidence and just go for it.

Great guy. He's truly as nice as he seemed today. He's also incredibly honest. He knows PepsiCo isn't perfect- or even what it used to be when he started 28 years ago. He's a good ally for you there

I appreciate your insight. Are you still with the company? If so are you still in Philly?

No. I left because of personal convenience, but I'd go back in a heartbeat. Good place to work. Mostly because of the people. It's not the good old days at PepsiCo and this "grocery tax" isn't gonna help, but in spite of that its a nice place to work.

But driving in Philly is as tough as it gets. Take your time.

But all the customers in the city that won't be doing any business is the problem. Luckily, the tax- in its current, RIDICULOUS, form won't pass. But something will. I've heard it's looking like 2% is gonna be the number. A lot better than 3 cents per ounce, but it's still a lot. We'll see

Well day one of orientation and my official start date May 16, 2016 has come and gone.

Not a bad day if I may say so myself. Filled with paperwork and videos. The videos were the hardest part of the day. We were served this amazing pizza for lunch by the HR specialist. Man was that buffalo chicken pizza amazing. We met with the driving supervisors and we're giving our start time for tomorrow which is 5:30AM. YES THATS RIGHT AM and I'm still on here updating this at 10:22PM. LOL joke will be on me and that coffee in the morning. Anyway was told to be there at 9 am and expect to be done around 5 pm. We ended up getting out of there at 2:30 pm so great day in my book. Only issue I have is that they expect us to have steel toe or composite toe boots tomorrow. What about the people who haven't worked in a while or have spent too much money on their brothers wedding. You expect me to buy steel toe boots in 6 hours smh. Oh well good thing I have some crap boots from when I worked for the railroad cause that's what I will be using for at least a week. Anyway that's all for now. Any questions please ask.
