Is there an app out there for us to put our load info into so we can save it electronically for later use. I am getting tired of writing everything down on paper and having to store it somewhere for my own records. I know there are ones where you can save a pic of a document but I am looking for something I can enter the information on.
Load document app

Excel Spreadsheet?
Or a simple database program? -
Evernote, OneNote, Keep.
Evernote and OneNote are web, Android, IOS, Windows and Mac.
Keep is web and Android. -
Can you make like a form with any of those so that you just fill in the blanks?
-
I've written an app that stores all that as well as tracks advances and expenses and fuel purchases and is accessible from all your mobile devices and laptop. It relies on SQL in the cloud and a $10 month subscription but truckers are too tight to pay this so I keep it to myself

Using your smart phone you can send a txt to anyplace even though it's not real.
So, instead of sending a txt to a person or phone number address it to "Clarksville, TN to Hubbar,OH" or the load number or any other war you want to tag it.
After that you just keep txt'ing to that same one and you'll have a record kept forever until you delete it. If you want to include a picture just attach one to the txt message or take a photo and send it.
You will get a separate txt back saying it was an invalid contact or whatever but that will be in a different txt msg that you can delete. -
If you only care to use one laptop and no smartphone access to the same data, if you have some computing software skills, it's simple to create your own database using OpenOffice.
Ideally you should have the ability to print various reports and summary reports to printer or PDF file as my app does. -
All of these are great ideas, but I am looking for some program I can create a template and just reuse it for every load. Sorta a fill in the blank as CJndatruck said. It would be a pain in the #!# to redo the whole thing every time. All the apps out there for us why has no one thought of something for this lol.

You can do the same thing I did. Create your own custom database app with various screen "forms" for data entry into a database. Mine is custom built for company drivers with all types of pay methods. But I'm not giving it away but the tools are out there.

Also, consider a PDF or other word processor software option. Set up your template that suits your needs, fill in the blanks, and save. But with this option you can't have it performs calculations, summarize/analyze data, etc
A "database" foundation is truly the best way to go, if you're serious about this. A database can have several ways of achieving the core, and the forms are the easy part, retrieving and crunching the data, and reporting gets a bit more difficult.Last edited: May 17, 2016
