This was not how I envisioned spending my birthday.

The fun never ends. And neither do the short regional runs. Getting a load from coke in Columbus. I have a feeling they have a racket with a truck wash and will send us to get washed out. Kinda like Bud in St. Louis used to do about 10 years ago

For the first time in two years, I'm unsure what to do.
My wife drives a leased vehicle and the lease is up in June. We are WAY over our miles and are in for some huge penalties.
She wants to keep the car and just buy it. It would protect us from the over milage fee, but is it worth it?

Depends, whats the buyout and how much over are we talking about. I'm always for buying over leasing but that's just me.

We are over 10k over the set milage cap. They charge $0.25 per mile. I'm looking at a hit of over $2500 just on miles

2500 can make some payments. Depends, how much do you like the car and how long do you plan on keeping it?

That depends on the residual value. Ur lease should have the residual value on it and if the residual plus penalties are less than the book U have a winner

I'm ending my week with about 2200 miles. And I'll get 34 in MN because my back haul doesn't load until Monday morning. That said, I'm hopeful next week will feature very good loads, as that is my settlement I'll pay for my house with. That backhaul is a drop, so I can get it there and keep moving Tuesday. That's an idea anyway.

    RERM Thanks this.
