Just out of curiosity, I'd like to know where most of you guys running like this successfully call home.....

For the record, I'm in Chicago running containers, sleep in the truck 2-4 nights a month...work Mon-Friday....135K gross last year....2 months off...

Sarasota florida. Which is why instead of being home every week end I'm out for 2 weeks or more when the market is good. Basically i gotta get up to the Ohio valley, work till it shows down then load home and stay till I'm ready to go. And supplement that with some short in state stuff when it pays enough to get me willing to leave the house.

AZ and WA. Depending on what I'm up to will decide how long or often I'm home. When I'm on the west coast I go home a lot. Usually when I head east I'm out for 3-4 weeks depending how good the $ is. Heck I had planned on being home for a week or two right now but I got a call that beat my minimum charge to leave the house early. Maybe I'll get back home this weekend.

Evanston, WY. Some of the best paying loads I get go in/out of the intermountain west. I'm on one right now paying well over $3/mile from TX to CO, legal dimensions. I almost never go northeast or northwest. Usually end up going to the south or midwest and then back home. My average load is about 1250 loaded miles and my deadhead miles are about 21%.
