Are you in a market grossing 4-5k per week?
Most aren't, especially Nowadays.
To own new, AND to live a life (Cars, houses, kids vacations etc)..You Gotta make 4-5k per week..EVERY WEEK..Yes that means come vacation time,You'll have to tell your customer/broker you still need that 4-5k..lol
Seriously, I just don't see the profit end of it (savings)... I Do this job to put money away every week/month..For things In Life I/family Wants to enjoy.
Holy Hanna !

I do well enough. 2 houses, lots of toys and a kid through and one in collage. Savings and investments increase every week I work. And I usually don't work very hard although occasionally I'll burn both ends of the candle.Hegemeister Thanks this.

-
Ah. There it is. Knew it was only a matter of time before someone came in and said none of this was possible.

Haters gonna hate: it's clearly possible bc folks are still buying brand new shiny iron.
If it "can't be done" you wouldn't see folks doing it
Can't get stuck in the mentality that "I can't do it with what I'm doing: therefore it can't be done"
That's negative talk.Hegemeister, tonycr, peterbilt_2005 and 3 others Thank this. -
If I was running over the road dry van, your right it would be next to impossible. Or I would have to sell all my stuff and live in the truck.
As it is I work Monday to Friday, weekends at home and occasionally I get home during the week. -
I want a brand new 389 and can easily afford it, but for me the question remains do I want to stay in this industry when elogs and speed limiters and God knows what else we get. This old truck is paid for (trailer too) and it would be much easier to exit rather than having a large payment when the day comes I quit turning the key to the right.
-
Same.
The 389 is the only one I'd consider...but I don't love them, just like them enough that I wouldn't be completely embarrassed to own one.
