Truth be told I actually prefer a long hood w9. But I really don't care for my local dealer after my first experience, so I won't be going back. 389 is a very close 2nd for me.

No I don't believe you can lease to Schneider with a 3200 a month lease payment and do good. Hey but that's your tale I'm sitting on mine

Sounds like pepper is leased to schneider.

    Assumption is
"I can't do it: therefore it can't be done"

I wasn't sayin it couldn't be done and if you want to run hard it can be done , the recession caught me in a bad financial position and I nearly lost my arse , only thing that saved me was I able to sell off my financed equipment for what I owed on it ..no I'm gun shy about spending money that I don't have too.

If you really break it down the difference between owning brand new or used is probably 10 cpm over the long haul.

Only problem with new is you better have those payments in the bank if you want to take a break.

Big difference between 3200 lease purchase stuck with a cheap cpm carrier than 3200 bank note and able to pull good paying freight.

Where I'm at i could make a 3k payment and still be home a lot. Not the six months I'm used to, but still good quality time. Figure at least 3 months total. As cj said above, 1 week more than covers that payment.

I will tell you why I thing your not being truthful now. If your clearing 3 grand a week like you are claiming why is your truck payment so high to start with. For a 2500 to 3000 payment you basically put 0 down . If your clearing approx. 150,000 a year . Why would you want to be saddled to that kind of payment. Doesn't make any sense does it why you wouldn't put down a good down payment

First I'm not sure where you get your #s but let's try this again. First I guess my 2500 figure was part of the issue. I didn't clearly say what a bit under 2500 was. Well a bit to me is a few hundred dollars but 2500 is a standard payment for people that put 15-20% down on a new truck with traditional financing (4-5 yr load). Can you find better? Sure! When you get closer to 3k or more you are usually talking about lease guys.

Now netting 150k really isn't a problem except I prefer to only work 2-3 weeks a month. Spyder works less than I do it seems. Since the beginning of December when I bought this truck I've only put 35k on it. What's that average out to? 1300-1400 miles a week?

Now even if I decided to work 24/7 why would someone want to take ALL of their cap and put it into thier truck? I like having $ for a rainy day and knowing that if I wanted to take 6 months off I could.

P.S. Spiders truck is paid for. My last truck was paid for. This isn't our first rodeo.

    Hammer166 and spyder7723 Thank this.
