Perhaps the technical term is there is a high psi differential between the turbo and the charge air cooler.
The slang term is: they suck.EZ Money Thanks this. -
They weren't that terribly bad if you drove them right. The problem was, the right way was to try to blow it up. Never let it under 1900 and rev it till the rods should have blown out the side of the block before shifting. The old saying was to slam your hand in the door first thing so you were pissed off at the truck the rest of the day.

Gotta love catching up to a slow moving car or truck and once you start passing them at a good rate, they speed up. Then there's the cars or trucks you pass, and then a few minutes later they pass you and then slow down again, often times leaving little room in front of you. I always blow my air horn at all of them so they know they are a-holes.

I think I'm getting the hang of it with this gutless D60. No torque, so max acceleration is all on horsepower starting at 1300 and finishing at 1700. Drop below 1300 on a hill and better pray you make that downshift quick and smooth. I spend most my time at or above 1500. Off road... take that hill starting with at least 2000.

Ohhh..... How I wish my 2015 prostar airhorn actually had some balls!!
-
LOL!!! Yea,The ProStar little plastic horn sucks!
When I had my ProStar that was the first thing to get replaced!
I bought an old fire truck horn from Ebay and ran a new air line and all....The factory horn uses a tiny airline the size of the one to the seat......poor excuse for a horn!MM3Deg Thanks this. -
I'm driving a Prostar too. It's more like meep, meep! It's like the Prius of trucks. Then a Pete will sound off like a train or large boat.
