Henderson was one of the only companies that had a sponsored cdl program and hired out of Florida.

I average the same amount of miles weather I stay out 3 weeks or 2 weeks. So I go home every 2 weeks

I am HT/prime. Just mpt at target in lake city, fl. I just refused to go 200 miles south to pick up juice load paying $.76. I said why don't I deadhead to Georgia for a higher paying load, since we know florida loads pay under a dollar.
Henderson needs to quit taking cheap freight that Primes pulls out of Florida.

Refusing the :heap load paid off. New load is $1.29 a mile at 1450 miles. Deliver by pay period cut off. Turning down loads works out sometimes. This is about best you can get out of Florida.

IF you're lease... Company drivers would be forced to take it no matter what.

Adding to that.... I saw a youtube video that someone mentioned to me about... His was mostly on the training... They didn't show how to go through up and down grades, rain, windy conditions.... Um, That's called training... Unless his trainer was in the back sleeping and just said I'll be up after my break then I'll see the issue. But in the school they won't take you in the rain. But there could be a time like going to the DMV for the CDL road test, but was mostly clear during that time or stopped raining from yesterday...
Going through TX and AK with 20MPH gusting to 60MPH winds, that was a good experience builder... With a windshield flying out... Glad I had the bills held down. lol

Yes I'm leased. Been with Henderson since November 2015.
I only turn down cheap stuff that's around $1 a mile. I have truck rent to pay and buy my own fuel. Last few weeks have not been good. Negative pay check or under $500. I told them if they give me too much cheap loads I will terminate lease and go company.

Swift has a school and hires out of Florida. Not sure if the Ocala terminal has a cdl program though.

Pretty sure Stevens hires out of FL has has a sponsored school in Tampa.
