Lumpers??

ES3??>>>>>Those people are the most easy going i ever had to deal with......... 120 lumper is the norm there so what!!! Your load must have been REALLY a mess for them to reject you . I would of had an problem with you too if you brought a mess of load to my business and expected me to sort it out for you. go down to the diner down the street there get your load together have some eggs and coffee and try it again pal

 

Need an app similar to uber for people willing to work and live in close proximity to the delivery point. And charge a reasonable fee not hundreds of dollars. Heck with those rip off lumper companies.

 

If you want to talk ripoff, I had a delivery of 20 pallets of McCormic spices and lumpers charged $600 because it had to be broken down into 135 pallets. Put me on a door but wouldn't start the unload until they got the check. Schneider didn't even like that one and the people had to send it up the management chain for approval because of the amount.

Took them 6 hours for 3377 cases of spices.

Ended up having 7 cases extra, which I had to haul around in my cab until getting back to a terminal to drop off a few days later.

 

Lumpers are used by warehouses so they don't have to hire any employees. American capitalism at work. Outsource every job you can except for management then the top guys get big bonuses for firing workers.

 

C&S in York SUUUUUCKS. they are great at playing game. I sat once for 5 hrs waiting on paper work.

 

I delivered to the York facility about 3 weeks back, had a 7am appt, checked in at 645am, lumper fee of $365, hit a dock at 810am, was empty by 1030....then I had to wait for them to "count and put the product away" that took them till 430pm. Oh and I was picking up out of there as well. Thankfully I was able to get reloaded while waiting for my bills from my drop. I was reloaded and waiting for another 2 hours before my unload was "counted"

These facilities like this are the exact reason why I will not go back into dry van. flatbed load and unload times for the most part, bankers hours.
