My best one was a few years ago I got a warning for going 42 in a 35. The girl friend and I were in the middle of a disagreement and I just lost focus on my speed. When the cop asked me if I knew how fast I was going i said nope how fast. So she started giving me a hard time saying I shouldn't have told the cop I didn't know how fast I was driving. I told her I wasn't going to lie to the officer and then I explained to the cop that we were having an intense conversation and I just wasn't paying attention to my speed. He smiled, gave me a warning and said goodluck!

During my training phase, I was pulled over in Albuquerque for doing 62 in a 60... At 2am... He checked my QualComm and a few other minor things like if I had the sheet of paper that explained the QC system... Then let me go with a warning for 2 over.
Then coming home once I past a cop setting at a bridge... Said I was doing 64 in a 55... I politely explained that I honestly didn't think he clocked me... I told him I heard the chatter on the CB that he was in the area, that I saw him setting under the bridge, and I wasn't in a hurry going anywhere as I was just heading home which is only 10 miles up the road.... So he did another check of my truck and QC and let me go.
Needless to say, I don't push my luck much anymore... Don't want to risk a third time.bzinger Thanks this. -
Where I work a moving violation the driver pays for. An equipment violation the company pays for. Not sure about a paperwork violation.

Yup, $245 fine.
Never seen mudflap brackets break. Especially on a new tractor. Cheap cold weld steel.wore out Thanks this. -
Got pulled over in Laredo. Failure to obey a traffic control device. I guess HIS idea and MY idea of a complete stop at a stop sign are two different things. Anyway, hired a lawyer and fought it. Reduced to a non-moving violation.
Lit up outside of Roma, TX on morning for a Level 2. Got a clean inspection and earned a $25 gift card to Walmart. My boss chuckled when I said "that's it?!" lol.
Other than that, no other issues getting pulled over in a CMV, knocks on wood.

I got pulled over once a few years ago in oklahoma when I was driving for a very slow company. It was a one lane construction zone for like 30 miles and speed limit was 65 and could only do 62. At the end, the trooper turns on his lights and I figure it was for impeding traffic. Nope, he tells me to follow him back and look under the trailer, the trailer was dog legged and it could be affecting my mpg.
At this point im scratching my head and thinking to myself, what NO Ticket for driving too slow? Im sure the company would appreciate that a trooper was looking out for them as far as saving fuel is concerned. -
My only dot story was in a pickup and gooseneck trailer. Not real sure where I picked him up but an Iowa dot officer followed me at least 3 miles and all the way through a major city here in SE Iowa and pulled me over leaving the last light ( had a shoulder there). He said he thought I was going to XXXXXXX( local scrap steel buyers), no officer, I am going to YYYYY about 25 miles south. ( I bet he would have followed me to the scales there, easier for him ). He asks to see my license, first words out of his mouth " you need more license to drive this combo". I simply replied " really? I thought I was legal". So he pulls me over into a closed business parking lot, the mobiles come out, pickup, gooseneck and scrap just over 29k gross but the truck and trailer gvw stickers added up less than 26k. I had no class a, he let me finish the trip, $340.00 for being over registered weight ( pickup registered 5 tons), but the perpetual fine of $445 annual for 15 ton license is ongoing. As near as I can tell my only violation was looking heavy. It was my turn to run interference for y'all, kept him busy nearly an hour.

Since we're talking pulled over, or in this case, sweating bullets, I ditched a cop in Winona, Minn. once. Coming down 61, with a flour load from Hastings, just before Winona, there's a scale, and a turn off just before it, that runs you through town. Certainly, I wasn't the 1st to do that, and a Minn. DOT followed me all the way into town. Not sure I was over weight, but logbook was all askew. When it came to the point of turning to go over the bridge to Wis., which I'm sure he ( or she) was waiting for me to do, I turned into a nearby warehouse, that I also picked up at from time to time, and the cop kept going. I then proceeded to go over the bridge.
