Now THAT dream would scare the crap out of me.Skate-Board Thanks this.

That would be my worst nightmare.
As if the ones I sometimes get now about 6 foot giant hornets weren't bad enough...
Skate-Board Thanks this. -
As a boy my father kept six hives in our backyard. I'd watch as he donned his mesh hood, break out the smoker, and sooth the hives with the smoke to remove the honeycombs. One time he coached me to have a swarm of bees coat my hand and arm. "Stay calm, and if you get stung don't flinch."
They were surprisingly warm, almost hot. I read recently read that they envelope raiding hornets to kill them with heat. I believe it.
This thread makes me want to seek out a bee load, just to say I did. Not only that, I don't think I will have to put up with anyone idling or running their reefer next to me.Hype6477 Thanks this. -
That's how the fend off the giant hornets in Japan.
...Unless they don't catch the hornet before it leaves a pheremone marker. Then, the hive is as good as dead. -
I think it would be interesting to have a couple small hives to collect honeycomb from now and then... Maybe in the future when we find our 40 actress in the hills of North Carolina... I doubt my current neighbors would appreciate it.Lepton1 Thanks this.
