It also doesn't illuminate on trailer either. But the abs light does come on in the dash and on the trailer when braking for about 3 seconds.. 2011 Wabash

Check your fuses. One may have blown. Check the center hole on your trailer cord. It should have power with the key on.

Check your light cord connection to the Phillips 7 Way box. Make sure it is nice and tight. If you have to, shim the light cord connection with a plastic tie or something.

I've never done it.... but some drivers that pick up a trailer and the ABS light on the trailer stays on, signaling every police officer that there is a problem.... Will snip the wire going to the bulb, then when someone else takes the trailer to a shop for a pm, it gets fixed.

    Getsinyourblood Thanks this.

your big 40 amp fuse is blown on a volvo its under the center panel in the middle of the dash. The reason they come on when braking it the fail safe your ABS is being powered by the brake lights wire and only when you brake.

terryt is correct. Even with the description of where the fuse was on my 2007 volvo it took a while to find it (lower right corner, almost under the fuse board -- look at the new 40 amp fuse first then match it to the one you see there is easiest way).

    Good luck,

    Jim
