The league or trade name of the motor carrier operating the vehicle is required. You cannot just have the DOT number. https://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/regulations/title49/section/390.21

I think a lot of the eastern Europeans drive the white Volvos because they are used to driving the Volvo cabovers in Europe. White is also the most common color for a tractor truck in Europe. I've seen the American style Volvos in Europe but, like other hooded tractors, they aren't very common.

While this might also be true, both MiltiGoup and Amerifreight (though Amerifreight is also running Cascadia's now) run white Volvos ( and have for years now ). When they trade their trucks, the Volvo dealerships around Chicago are flooded with used white Volvos (go to M & K website and check out like 200 of the traded in trucks from MiltiGroup!!!!)....
The European outfits around here snap them up as their mechanics are quite familiar with the Volvo drivetrain....201 Thanks this. -
