That does have a lot to do with it. The Volvo VN series shares a lot of switchgear with its Euro cousin, the FH. The current generation FH has a really nice layout and I think our market Volvo is due for a major refresh. The last major refresh of the VN was in 2002.
They may be saving that for when the dual clutch I shift makes its North American debut.

I've driven a lot of European Volvo cabovers. They can be really nice. I still like the Mercedes Actros cabovers better.
