They only experimented with them on 50 trucks back around 2008, had top many issues and then took then off

so how does one get around the newer trucks and their limited idling? do they by-pass that somehow in the ECM program? Or is it just "too bad to be you" for the TMC driver in hot or cold weather?

That's right! I can't sleep when I'm too hot or cold. And if I have to spend a 34 in the truck I'm not going to suffer.

Tmc let's you idle as much as you want, they don't limit idling unless you go to the extremes with it. They consistently allow 10 even 15% idle times. The time they use to idle gps towards their paychecks

TMC never had them as far as I know. The issue is the weight not the operation I was told.
All their trucks are clean idle certified and they allow idling whenever the driver would like. The caveat to that being that it goes against your mpg snapshot so the more you idle the worse your mileage.

George told us they tired them, had issues with them then got rid of them, but the weight issue would seem more logical
