It became an us against them mentality. Us and them are the same person, the truck driver. No one says"Haha, look at what that truck driver did." It's always "Look at what Werner did" "Look at what Swift did."

What happened was, say 30 years ago, truck driving was made up of but a fraction of truckers that we have today. Used to be a "small brotherhood", especially compared to today, not so anymore. You can't expand a "culture" that much, and that fast and not expect many negative effects. When you increase a population, you increase the riffraff as well. Not to mention the "professionalism aspect" becomes highly diluted when anybody who needs/wants a job can become a truck driver in 4 weeks in an industry that makes all sorts of false claims to attract "drivers" who will work for beans and rice.

Probably a more costly mistake than what you might think...and Ive always(and still do)help out someone in trouble...but there at a scale--at very least--I would park and check w/officers first--and Im betting--they wouldn't let you due it--not qualified--wrong equipment whatever...but I would have tried

Wondering if the driver gets billed for repairing the grass on top of the wrecker bill and any repairs to the trailer and his truck. Very expensive lesson

I can see a change here at my company since I've been here.

Nobody works together anymore. This "every man for himself" attitude is demoralizing.

It doesn't happen often but I've been defeated by Google. What is a tow can?

It's a version of "tow chain." I wrote it with a deaf accent incase there are deaf people reading this.
