I hate it when old threads are dredged up...forget what was going on in the OP. I think I pretty much said the same thing as you back when the thread was new...but when it popped back up, the fact that it was for a single axle in the tandem completely slipped my mind since usually "over-axle" questions involve axle groups.

    #### I must be lucky. The vast majority of officers I've meet were just doing their job. A few thought for sure I was over weight with 8.5 yards of concrete on and they get a little pissy when you weigh legal. One cop slowed down to 5mph in a 35mph just so he could give me a ticket for following too closely. But he wrote a court date for a Sunday! I think he had some other issues in his life which I hope he was able to correct. I know how hard it can be to separate your personal and professional life. My point is they're humans just like the rest of us. If you give them an attitude then it's not going to turn out well for you. A couple of tips . #### off your engine. Don't go reaching around until the officer asks you to get you info. Keep your hands on the steering wheel with your dome light on. And try to be nice. I know it can be difficult when you're getting pulled over. Also if I know something is wrong with the truck that they'll find I just tell them straight off. That has gotten me out of a few out of services when I worked for a mom and pop shop that didn't like fixing the truck.
