I wonder how much bribe money Isakson took from the ATA for that amendment.

I totally agree with you... complaining to each other here doesn't help us at all... :biggrin_25512:
I have been spreading the news about this freakin rule to everybody I can and sending them links and asking them to contact their senators and voice their opinion...
And I KNOW I KNOW that some people will say.. "oh well... they always get what they want so why bother..." Yeah... I know it is an uphill battle and that's a reason to fight back.. Called this guy Isakson and gave his phone person my most sincere knowledgeable opinion :biggrin_25516::angryfire: sent him a letter and sent letters and emails to my 2 senators, to my rep. in Washington... and will continue reaching out to more folks, social media, wherever and whenever I can... DARN if I'll seat on my rear and do nothing...

"Peaceful"?? :biggrin_2554: :biggrin_25523: There will be more road rage than ever.... :violent1:
I agree with the road block idea... :yes2557: But I suggest trucks having signs outside their trailers advising the motoring public the reason for the road block.... why trucks are going so slowly, unable to pass each other and blocking the roads... due to GOVERNMENT MANDATED SPEED LIMITER! :biggrin_25523:

Yeah... some folks have been talking about doing something with their engine so DOT will not know they can run over the speed... Well... I think whoever is on the road WILL be affected by this crap...
It will not help much if a truck can go over the truck speed limit but the roads are constantly clogged up by many other trucks...
And 4 wheelers will get very impatient with ANY truck, and will do all kinds of dangerous and crazy maneuvers to cut them and not let them get in front on their lanes...
And we will end up with another freakin rule, "TRUCKS RESTRICTED TO RIGHT LANE ONLY" :biggrin_25510:

What we need is SAME SPEED FOR EVERYONE! :protest:

Yeah.. but to make a point, put a HUGE sign outside your trailer saying "This truck uses government mandated speed limiter" or use your own imagination... The motoring public needs to get mad at the government not at us...

If we don't want Speed Limiters on our trucks from becoming another law, then we will need to do something.

Here are some ways to speak out our opinion on this..

    Write your Representatives

    Find your Lawmakers

    Congressional phone number

You can call the Capitol switchboard operator at 202-224-3121 to be transferred to any representative’s or senator’s office. All you have to do is provide the operator your home ZIP code.

    Docket your comment on Regulations.gov

Wish we could band together before this went though for a solid day and all run 65 glog up the roads to let give a small idea what it would be like.
I use the extra speed for if I partway around a vehicle and see merging traffic a little bump and can be an front allowing the other to slide over safely before the on ramp traffic.

We currently don't have to many problems because some are set at 65 some at 67 some 70 and some not at all but all trucks floored all the time at 65 is going to be hell.
May have to buy back the Volvo not even the dealers are able to read it's Ecm.
