i dont advise anyone to go to western express
they have the worst loads available in the industry
the recruiter nick will lie to you to get you in the company
tell you that you can make up to 4500 a week
when you can barely make $1000 as a owner operator.
if you care about your driver and safety they will blame your driver and tell you that that should not matter.the company has
very bad communication with each other you can barely get anyone on the phone
they dont care about owner operators and hold your money for 45 days if you choose to leave and put it in the contract so it can hurt you.if you owe them any money they will not let you pay the balance so you can stay in the hole.they do not have good communication with the companies they are in buisness with and causes you to be stuck with loads over the weekend its just a terrible company for owner operators
dont go to western express!!!!!

1.) Anybody that does even the least amount of research would know from the beginning to stay away from Western Express.
2.)No O/O in there right mind would ever lease on with them.If your talking about leasing a truck thru them see #1Whiteline64, rachi, snowlauncher and 6 others Thank this. -
I don't remember ever seeing a owner operater truck leased to western.
CrappieJunkie Thanks this. -
I've seen a few of them when I was working for them. It's like the company went on a owner/operator binge all of a sudden. Drivers with red Volvos, Western Stars, orange ex-Schneider Freightliner Century Class tractors have been past thru the Nashville shop quite a bit.

Any O/O that leases on to such a bottom feeder deserves what they get.
Sorry, I haven't any sympathy for you. Perhaps you shouldn't be in this business if you're making such poor business decisions.
Seriously. There's just no justifiable excuse.Milty, justcarhaulin, Western flyer and 3 others Thank this. -
How do you know they have the worst loads? Have you seen every load from every company?
-
Hate to see any driver taken advantage of, but seems as though you went out of your way to sign up for this misery. Out of all the trucking companies in the country you chose Western Express?!?! This stuff makes my head hurt sometimes

Hopefully you learned something from this bad exp.Never believe recruiters. They don't have a clue what you'll be making, what kind of loads and how many miles per week. They have everything memorized what they'll tell drivers. Its best to go with a company you feel confident about before filling out an application. Also see how many negative things are said before filling out application. It might take some time but it's best to do your homework before committing to any company.snowlauncher and superflow Thank this.

Looks like another one post wonder but had the OP bothered to check ANY forum with regards to WE they would have seen that there are 100's of threads and 1000's of posts detailing exactly where he would wind up.

Why are you calling yourself an owner operator? Are you the guy that pays to drive a company truck. Or did you lease your truck, that your own onto western?
I met a guy this week that was a lease operator. He said after he pays whatever he owes each week, he grosses 900 a week. I almost net 900 the weeks I go home. If I'm out all week, I gross 1350ish. He admits he'll never own the truck. They gave him governed at 64. Judging by the way he talked, he had the best job in the business. I'll never understand the concept of paying a company to drive their truck. These companies only offer lease deals to put the risk on the DRIVER.
If you really wanna be a "real" owner operator, cut your spending, save some cash, and go finance a truck though a real lender. Or, save 10-15k and pay cash for an older truck. Then and only then will you actually be an owner operator. Sorry for the rant, but have been running into a lot of drivers getting screwed by greedy companies.
Someone arguing that fleece purchases are a good deal are the same people that think title loan places are good places to borrow money. 2% maybe 3% of lease purchases work out in the end. The driver ends up getting screwed the other 97%.TequilaSunrise, stayinback and Western flyer Thank this.
