That's what i have done at one point my predator had the long base shaft single coil sadly i don't have any pictures of those.

As far as antenna fighting each other i can't tell you anything about it as i said i have made dx world wide with this, i did not use splitter or junction box whenever i wanted to switch antenna i had to unplug one to use the other.

Pretty sure Rabbi and Ridgeline could chime in with various explanation about antennas conflicting each others....

 

I had the studio sleeper and i personaly never liked it, too big for me to either cool down or warmed up, i am a fan of 36" 42" sit down casket....
