Dawn dish soap mixed in the washer fluid works well for me.

'Bout the same here. I try to wipe the windows daily, since I slip seat. But the night driver never fails to not do it. And I get to wipe them myself, or spend the day trying to see through bug guts all say long. I wash/ scrub the window a couple times before I begin to squeegee it.

No one has confirmed this observation yet, but I'm sure the corn and bean farmers feed their crops with an epoxy additive, that's what makes those bugs so darn hard in the summer.tucker and Snailexpress Thank this.

I use clear ammonia cut with 50% water, the nylon scrubber and a 12" squeegee I bought at Lowe's. Makes that glass like air, no streaks, no rubbing, just perfect. And, ammonia costs about $1.50/gallon, lasts about 3 months. Try it, you'll like it. Sometimes when I get fuel I'll scrub with the truck stop sponge, squeegee with my own device, mirrors especially if it's been raining.

I have an old Windex bottle that I refill with the same stuff.
Rain-X washer fluid is good. -
I would say Its a gimmick. It doesn't take long for the bugs to harden and sooner or later you're going to have to scrub them off.

Should come off fairly easy with a plastic Bondo spreader. That wouldn't scratch the glass.
Snailexpress Thanks this. -
Dish washing detergent is what we old times use. just add a squirt or two into the reservoir and you will see the difference.
classic_150 Thanks this.
