I know patty but still I am surprised I couldn't just get a copy of my cdl from them instead of making me jump thru hoops with my state DMV just to aquire a temp cdl

first thing tomorrow call your normal contact... It's in both of your best interests to keep the wheels rolling. The other guy was just passing the buck. If he knows you are sitting still while you wait for a simple fax or email, it will happen.

To this day I still have a zip up bank bag which has $200 cash, a spare truck key, a valid credit card, a photocopy of my drivers license and a photocopy of my Medical card in my truck.

You can, just call safety in the morning..You're not the first one at that company that has lost his or her CDL.But before you call safety get the fax number of the place your at.

In NY, the DMV sends you another license every time you renew or get a new endorsement. They don't ask for the old one back. So I just take one of my old ones on the road as a backup.

Many years ago, going into Ft.Dix,you gave the guard your license, and he gave it back to you when I left. But guard gave me some other truckers license,as I left, luckily I didn't drive too far before I noticed it.Always check!
