My headache rack prevents me from ever cutting a hole in the back and putting an AC in it. Problem solved! LOL

What no engineers have yet figured out is that the optimum way to do this in my opinion is to create a hybrid (mechanical/electric) AC compressor for trucks and RV's.
Then just plug your truck into whatever and run the factory unit.Terry270 Thanks this. -
Hurst where is the prob with the backwall mount???
I have it done with my 05 volvo
I chang one on the road.. the hole was 3/4 inch bigger
I use spryform around 1. It seales 2. It glue the unit to the truck
+ 2Steal L
For the red 780 is the plan on a mini split unit
Inside part under the skywindow.. outside unit not sure jet4rdtruck Thanks this. -
I thought I typed out a very thorough explanation of how I feel about it and what my concerns are.
Its your truck. You do what you want. I have done things to my truck that others do not agree with. I feel its my business. I am not going to let what others think dictate what I do with my truck.
Dont worry about what I think. You do what ever you feel is best for you. I am entitled to my own opinions about things. It should not matter or effect you.

Check this split AC installation on RV, the inside unit is small enough to fit any truck and you only need 2 small holes for it.
