My new, final resting place

I seem to recall having had such an experience, but I am aging and forgetful.

I'm not there anymore and it seems I see fewer and fewer GTI trucks pulling GTI trailers on the road these days. But I did see a massive amount of aquatint blue Freightliner trucks at some dealer in the last few days...somewhere near Pontoon Beach, as I recall...

And aquatint blue trucks with the Heartland logo on the side. It's wrong. Just wrong, so they can take their money and go buy some Wyoming ranch. I'm somewhere else and making decisions.

But I still wear my GTI beanie at night, what with being bald and all.

 

I just now checked on a company that shipped some of my household goods in cardboard moving boxes across the country when I got out of the Navy in San Diego and spent some time with my parents in Lexington, Massachusetts.

System 99 is only a series of photos and some very brief description of the guy who was one of the executives. Five years from now, people will ask is what working for Gordon Food Service is like -- I've already been asked that several times.

 

I don't have the heart (no pun intended) to ask the GTI drivers I see what they think...
