I had to leave because after all the hidden expenses, and low fuel surcharge, not to mention bad attitudes, i was making right at .22 cents for every mile I turned.

They've had a terrible reputation for many many years...........

Im thinking of going there myself

I saw their add needing 30 drivers for coast to coast runs. But, I'm seeing A LOT of negative posts on them. Has me worried. Almost seems as if they are a forced lease company. I just don't see it.

Freymiller lease-purchase trucks have refrigerators, apu, etc. Choice of being company driver or lease.
When I pulled reefers coast to coast with YRC Logistics, the safety man there was the former safety man at Colonial and I could never get a straight answer out of him about Colonial. He would only say he worked there and it was ok, but nothing more.
If you just want to run coast to coast as a company driver, Abilene Motor Express is ok. It's 100% no-touch freight with lots of drop & hook and lots of California/Pacific Northwest freight.Last edited: Mar 1, 2016

That's not exactly correct about Freymiller. They DO NOT provide a refrigerator in the truck. If your APU is a Tripac, they also DO NOT provide a voltage inverter. HOWEVER, they WILL SELL you these items, and do payroll deductions until they're paid for in full. I don't remember the exact weekly amount. I personally have purchased both the fridge and the inverter.

That's good information. Are you with Freymiller now? The website doesn't mention purchasing those items.
