So you're on paper logs and are at a shipper, you check in and wait in your truck for 4 hours until they give you a green light and you go get your bills.
Did you just post that you would log line 4 for the whole time?
I can't wait til everyone is on elogs meow.

So let's say you got stuck in traffic for few hours and ran out of your 70 30 miles away from your yard, are you going to spend your weekend at a Truckstop? Or you ran out of time and now a factory production line is gonna be shutdown, because you are taking your 10 20 miles away? You people are full of ####, I don't believe it

Do you unload your truck by hand or hire a lumper? The LAW explains both pretty well. No need to break the laws if you read them. Heck I run flats, we have longer times that we have to show on duty at a shipper or receiver so often I need to make sure I'm driving before and after a delivery to keep the DOT happy.

Now there are a million ways to fudge Elogs. Because of that I believe that people should stop worrying about them. They only keep you from doing 2 things. Driving more then 8 hours straight. And driving after the 14 hours from when you first started driving (if u know your going to push it then you can plan ahead)

Yes, I shut it down at a truck stop if I get stuck in traffic and my 14 or 70 will not allow legal delivery.
If the factory doesn't have a warehouse with a little extra in it, in case I'm late, well, they can have the workers grab a broom and clean up. Or send them home or run another product.
And since the Quallcom update, logging off duty in a traffic jam is almost impossible,

for me that can't happen.... i'm a O/O so "personnel use" will get me home..... for company drivers they just send a van out with a drive to bring the truck back to the yard
I've bobtailed to get loads and take them a lot less than 20 miles when drivers have run out of time
