I worked for Keystone. I never lifted a box. Some retail accounts are strictly no-touch...I was on Best Buy. Had a good run with them, though going into their Secaucus yard was a crap shoot. Also, not union and no backhauls, except for Best Buy returns, or cardboard.

Yeah, I've been to their Secaucus hub as well. I was on the TJ Maxx, Marshalls and K Mart account and EVERYTHING was hand unload. I heard about the Best Buy account that other terminals had. We had a lot of drivers come and go from either quitting or got fired for stealing merchandise. Like I mentioned, it was a long time ago that I drove for them, so I'm sure a lot has changed since then.

    I wouldn't.

Seems to me the job is it's own workout, with nothing extra on the side needed.

Oh oh oh yesterday I saw a broken down Keystone Freight Truck on I-480! It was probably the first time I was actually looking for them.

I did when I worked for USF. I was 268lbs after OTR pure fatness. So I wanted and needed to drop LB's. Heavy weight lifting after work and more cardio. Had to bring my gym stuff cause if you go home you'll get the couch affect. Dropped to 223lb before I left eating everything in sight(pizzas nightly). Co workers that saw me day 1 to the day I left said I looked like I was in fighting shape lol. Blew up to close to 240lb my first 6 months linehaul was still lifting and doing cardio. Got more discipline and realize I can't eat like I did at FS. Sitting at 197lbs now. A lot harder then FS to get lean or stay light then on linehaul. I know if I went back to FS no cardio just weight training. Even though you work physically you have to strengthen yourself. Creatine would be a good idea to use while doing FS give you more endurance and only 12 bucks a tub that will last a month. Just drink a lot of water.

@Radman, age has a whole lot to do with it as well. The older you get, the harder it is to get rid of the extra pounds, and the easier it is to put on extra pounds. It sucks to have an old man life style, but a 20 something appetite...

I agree with you on that. I looked back at how much I was eating in my early 20's and know I can't can't pound that much food anymore or it will pack the lb's faster now. I'm 38 now and when my weight gain started 15years ago I can look back and know what I was doing wrong instantly. For example I would start my day eating two chili dogs smotherd from 7-11 and two monster energy drinks. Pound soda all day. Big plate of Mexican food for lunch, big plate of whatever for dinner. It was atleast 4-5k cal a day. For granted I was furniture delivery. I would gain weight slowly but if I ate like that now it would be way more rapid weight gain then my slow weight gain in my 20's.

Now I've actually started believing the whole Atkins style diet. I can eat more food and seems like I'm still able to loose weight. My weight loss recommendation is 1700cal I eat close to 2700-3000 cals a day low carb high fat and tend to still drop weight or not gain. If I ate 2700cals with carbs I'd slowly gain weight. My activities are gym 1-2hrs 3-5 days a week and that's about it. Work is linehaul very non active. I feel like crap anytime I have carb days and when I go Keto I feel way better. I really don't feel like I'm on a diet either. I think it's too hard to fit carb type foods in a diet. It makes you hungry 1-2hours later. I used to think low carb was a hippie diet but have tried it and it what I think works with me.

Creatine is a great suggestion. There's a lot of myths about creatine. A lot of people think it's like steroids, and bad for your kidneys and liver, but it's actually 100% safe. It ALMOST has the effects of steroids, meaning it helps build muscle, without taking tons of protein or the side effects that steroids has. Building muscle is what speeds up your metabolism and helps you burn more calories at a resting state. Muscle doesn't just grow by itself, it needs calories and protein to sustain itself. So the more muscle you have, the more calories you burn, which allows you to be less strict on your diet, but it doesn't mean you can just pig out all the time.

I would stop looking for them. Believe me Mike, it's better to erase them from your memory. I have, or at least I try to, but I see them all the time on the turnpike, and it makes my back ache everytime I see one.

On point with your post. No studies showing hurts liver or kidneys. Only thing is it does dehydrate you if your not drinking enough water draws a lot of water into your muscles but anything can hurt your organs if your not drinking enough water. Why drinking soda all day and no water is very bad in long term affects cause of the dehydration. If your taking creatine I feel you should drink a gallon or more of water a day.
