You really confusing me about NY and your athority going active.I didn't deal with a state for my athority to go active,That was a federal for me.The state dot did my audit that was done well after my athority went active.

Sorry, dont mean to be confusing, i dealt with the FMCSA. Almost immediately after mine went active I got a letter stating I had to submit all this info to the FMCSA new entrant program as part of my safety compliance. They say it can take up to 18 months until your audit but mine was pretty soon after I got my authority. The final phone call I received giving me there blessing was a guy from the state DOT. He just went over all the stuff on file I submitted to the Web sight. He never asked for an employment app.Last edited: Jun 2, 2016

I have some doubts about Mike's decision making process. Mike, this is advice, not an attack, I'm just sharing experience.
First, you pay $995/week AND $.055c/mile for your truck? Holy cow, Mike, why did you sign up for that ball and chain? Crazy expense. $995 x 52 plus $.055 x 120K miles (low number, but a usable average, 120K/year is mid-range) that's $58,340/year just for the truck. Add on to that
@ $6K/year insurance, $50K/year fuel, and a few miscellaneous like PM service, the occasional shop experience, subtract a little down time...Mike, you don't have any money. So how do you plan to "save for a truck?" "Houston, we have a problem."
This is a theme that will always exist as long as there are trucks and drivers. Best to you, Mike.
