I broke my back. L2 & L3.
Just like Shcultz, I know nothing.
Had one pre-employment physical that required a 3 position x ray of the lower spine. I thought wow I'm screwed. The PA says it looks like you have some arthritis going on there ( looks like someone took a small ice cream scoop out of the one vertabrae ). She says " Does it bother you?"
No ma'am.
Approved.
LOL
My right ankle was pulverized, and still has half a dozen 1/4 x20 screws in it.
Nothing. I know NOTHING.KriegHund, Rendrag, alghazi and 1 other person Thank this. -
I can only speak for myself, but I have never been asked to show my 214.KriegHund, Dave_in_AZ and Rendrag Thank this.

Did/do you work for TMC. And have you done the VA Apprenticeship program with them or anyone else?
-
I did, and the va program admin asks to see it, but she was only verifying my time in service. Then again i don't have a service connected disabilityRendrag Thanks this.

I'll speak for my self and I was asked for my DD214. If they do ask they will fined out that you have a medical discharged and might want to know. If you can get by that you're going to have a very tough road ahead. I do not recommend any narcotics to help with the pain. Use heat and cold. As long as you do not re-injure the low back you'll be ok. Get your self on of those black weight lifting belts. You have to change the way you lift also so your back can heal. Lift with your legs and take all the weight away from your low back. It may take a long time to heal but they do re-bound in some way. If it's ways out of normal and you can not stand the pain any longer then it's time to have a meeting with your doctor and your boss to find the best way to do.

Well we will se I guess. If I make it to orientation and get sent home I'll be a tad upset. I'm taking a big risk to give something I want to do a try. But that's just in my nature I suppose, never reward without risk.KriegHund Thanks this.

Thank you for the advice. Luckily or unluckily depending on how you want to look at it, I don't have lower back problems it ls my mid back in between T7-T8 T8-T9. I can do anything anyone else can't and more than most people I know. Doesn't the saying go "pain is weakness leaving the body" haha.KriegHund Thanks this.
