I'm not hesitant to say anything, nor do I endorse anything. I simply give not a rat's ### when a scab suffers adverse consequences from being a scab.

I'm pro Union and a labor contract is the only thing other than fmcsa ..and supply and demand is the only thing keeping drivers out of slavery ...I worked for alliant before US bought em , own my own truck these days and do flatbed but if I find out the shipper or receiver is on strike I decline the load .

 

What if your brother or father worked someplace on strike, what would you think of the scabs then?

 

I wish there were more drivers that were as smart as you, most drivers talk tough against having a union because they are afraid of not appeasing their supervisor.

 

This strike is probably over their Baltimore terminal, that they shut down without any warn notice or effects bargaining.

The people that run usf are the scum of the earth, btw. They run this place like a giant meat grinder, all for a wage that only looks good on paper. Rottenest company around, right up there with Conway and central transport.

 

I'd be pissed at them, but I wouldn't advocate violence against them. Violent retaliation against scabs certainly doesn't help the cause, it just makes unions look bad. Talk radio will have a heyday vilifying "union thugs".

I don't know why anyone would worry about replacement labor in foodservice anyway. They'd do half the work and it would cost twice as much. A strike (without violence) would still work. And I doubt it would last very long.

 

Uh, the conservative pundits have all but ruined labor in the eyes of who benefit from unions. At what point does the working class get fed up enough to say " beat that scab sown, I'm sick of concessions, and glenn beck can go shoot himself in the head!"?
